Using maps in an animated fashion is a powerful and visually pleasing way to communicate concepts, phenomena, and stories that might otherwise be difficult to illustrate. See several examples below that communicate a particular concept, or tell a geographic story using maps in an animated video format.
Call For Videos:
The CGA is inviting video submissions of your geographic story. The video will be featured on this website, and on the large screen displays at the CGA offices. The idea is to provide a place that hosts and displays a wide variety of videos that tell interesting, informative, and educational geographic stories. Contact us to submit your video or if you want more information.
You can submit your video to the annual Fisher Prize in GIS competition to win recognition and a cash award.
The Multimedia Lab in Lamont Library has a variety of resources for video creation.
