Supported ArcGIS Desktop Licenses

  • Concurrent Use License (within Harvard network)
    * ArcGIS for Desktop license server:
    Cons: Your machine must be connected to the Harvard network directly or through VPN (Internet connection required).
    Pros: (1) There is no need to renew your software license. (2) You can install ArcGIS on multiple laptops and PCs.
  • Single-use License (off Harvard network)
    * You will need to fill out the Single-use License Request Form in the Download Link section below
    Cons: (1) You can only request for ONE software license annually, and you need to renew your software license once a year. (2) You can only use the license on one machine at a time (must activate and deactivate between multiple machines).
    Pros: You could work without any network, or without connecting to cga license servers.

This software is available to Harvard Affiliates only. Please follow the installation instruction below to download, install, and activate your license.
