#  ESRI Business Analyst Online 

 



ArcGIS Business Analyst is Esri’s location-based market and community intelligence software that combines demographic, business, lifestyle, spending, and census data with map-based analytics for smart decision-making. Note: Access to Business Analyst Online is currently suspended, and will resume on July 1, 2026.

**How to Access Business Analyst Online (BAO)**

1. If you don't have a Harvard ArcGIS Online account. Please go here to create one first [at this site](https://gis.harvard.edu/arcgis-online). New users will automatically be granted access to BAO.
2. If you already have a Harvard ArcGIS Online account but don't have access to BAO, please do the following:
3. Fill out the [ArcGIS Business Online Request Form](https://projects.iq.harvard.edu/cga-pin/request). Make sure to tell us your ArcGIS Online username in the "Additional message" box on the request form, and choose "Require Access to: ArcGIS Business Analyst Online" from the picklist.
4. CGA staff will assign the BAO license to your ArcGIS Online account.
5. You may then proceed to the BAO application [at this site](https://bao.arcgis.com/esriBAO/index.html).
    1. Click Sign In.
    2. Enter: “harvard-cga” underneath where it says “Your organization’s URL” and click Continue
    3. Click the blue "Harvard University..." button
    4. Sign in with your Harvard Key
