 Learning objectives of this workshop for students in the Mixed Methods for Global Health Research (GH 706) class are:

- Learning some basic terminology of GIS.
- Learning the file structure for GIS files.
- Creating a map of a country or region of the world using QGIS.
- Learning how to add layers to the map such as roads, cities, rivers, and administrative borders.
- Learning how to link to an existing georeferenced data set using a Demographic and Health Services (DHS) data set.
