The position requires an immediate start and involves six hours of work per week.</span></span></span></span></span></p><p style="margin:0in">	 </p><p style="margin-top:0in; margin-right:0in; margin-bottom:7.5pt; margin-left:0in">	<span><span><span style="vertical-align:baseline"><span><span><span style="color:#6c6c6c">GOV1009 is a university-wide course that serves students from diverse academic backgrounds and levels. Current students include those from the Graduate School of Design (GSD), MIT cross-registrants, undergraduate students, and students from other Harvard graduate schools. The course will be held in the CGIS Knafel Building computer lab. For more information, please refer to the course syllabus on Canvas.</span></span></span></span></span></span></p><p style="margin:0in">	<span><span><span style="vertical-align:baseline"><span><strong><span style="padding:0in"><span><span style="color:#6c6c6c">Key Responsibilities</span></span></span></strong></span></span></span></span></p><ul>	<li>		<span><span style="color:#6c6c6c"><span><span><span style="vertical-align:baseline"><span><strong><span style="padding:0in"><span>Office Hours (2 hours per week): </span></span></strong><span>Host two office hours weekly—one as a public session providing lab support onsite and another for personal consultation. The TA can adjust the schedule based on student needs.</span></span></span></span></span></span></span>	</li>	<li>		<span><span style="color:#6c6c6c"><span><span><span style="vertical-align:baseline"><span><strong><span style="padding:0in"><span>Grading and Feedback: </span></span></strong><span>Grade weekly assignments and provide feedback to students under the instructor’s supervision.</span></span></span></span></span></span></span>	</li>	<li>		<span><span style="color:#6c6c6c"><span><span><span style="vertical-align:baseline"><span><strong><span style="padding:0in"><span>Class Participation and Review: </span></span></strong><span>Attend every class session on <strong><span style="padding:0in">Tuesdays from 12:00–2:00 PM</span></strong> and review class materials.</span></span></span></span></span></span></span>	</li></ul><p style="margin:0in">	<span><span><span style="vertical-align:baseline"><span><strong><span style="padding:0in"><span><span style="color:#6c6c6c">Compensation</span></span></span></strong></span></span></span></span></p><p style="margin:0in">	<span><span><span style="vertical-align:baseline"><span><span><span style="color:#6c6c6c">This position is paid at the standard union rate for TAs ($21 per hour). Compensation will be calculated as follows:<br><strong><span style="padding:0in">6 hours × $21 per hour × the number of remaining instructional weeks in the Spring 2025 semester.</span></strong><br>There are no additional benefits associated with this role.</span></span></span></span></span></span></p><p>	<span><span><span style="vertical-align:baseline"><span><span style="color:#333333">Qualifications</span></span></span></span></span></p><ol>	<li>		<span><span style="color:#333333"><span style="vertical-align:baseline"><span>Familiarity with ArcGIS Pro. Experience with ArcGIS ModelBuilder and arcpy packages. If the candidate is not specifically experienced with arcpy, familiarity with Python would be good.</span></span></span></span>	</li>	<li>		<span><span style="color:#333333"><span style="vertical-align:baseline"><span>Currently enrolled in a Harvard program or serving as a research fellow or staff member at Harvard. Applications from individuals at nearby universities are also welcome.</span></span></span></span>	</li></ol>
