DESCRIPTION:<p><span>Students in&nbsp;</span><a href="https://gis.harvard.edu/gov-1008-introduction-geographic-information-systems-5"><span>GOV1008:&nbsp;Introduction to GIS</span></a><span>&nbsp;taught by Dr.&nbsp;</span><a href="https://www.gov.harvard.edu/directory/kanglin-connie-chen/"><span>Connie Chen</span></a><span>&nbsp;in the Government Department at FAS, will showcase their class final projects in a public poster exhibition. The event will take place on Tuesday, December 2, 2025,&nbsp;in the </span><a href="https://essroombook.fas.harvard.edu/room.php?rm=rm0300"><span>Fisher Commons of the CGIS Knafel building</span></a><span>.&nbsp;</span></p><p><span>Project posters printed by Harvard Center for Geographic Analysis (CGA) will be on display starting in the morning at 10 a.m. From 12–2 p.m., approximately 30 students will present their projects on topics of their choice in three-minute lightning talks.&nbsp;The presenters represent a wide range of concentrations and departments across Harvard, including juniors, seniors, master’s students, and doctoral students. Their poster topics span politics, environmental analysis, ecology, climate change, hazard impacts, urban planning, sociology, public health, and more.</span></p><p><span>This event welcomes researchers and visitors from all backgrounds who are interested in GIS&nbsp;or the topics covered. Feel free to stop by and engage with the students!</span></p>
