Professor Blier is the co-creator of [Africamap](http://africamap.harvard.edu/), a platform for visualizing, analyzing, and sharing maps and geographic datasets related to African studies. This project expanded into [Worldmap](http://worldmap.harvard.edu/), which now hosts research for over 20,000 people, mostly scholars. Prof. Blier is also the author of the award winning book [*Art and Risk in* *Ancient Yoruba: Ife History, Power and Identity c.1300*](https://www.cambridge.org/core/books/art-and-risk-in-ancient-yoruba/1D8136F1682FC0244F690903B437653D) (Cambridge University Press), which applies geographic analytics and visualizations to the study of ancient African art.
