# Training

The CGA can help you learn GIS in many ways, including courses for credit, workshops for non-credit, live and self-learning.

**Credit Courses @ Harvard**

Learn about the many GIS Related and Spatial Analysis Courses offered each semester in areas such as public health, archaeology, social and environmental policy, operational GIS, and more. Search the [Harvard College course catalog](https://courses.my.harvard.edu/psp/courses/EMPLOYEE/EMPL/h/?tab=HU_CLASS_SEARCH) or the [Harvard Extension School course catalog](https://coursebrowser.dce.harvard.edu/) for terms like "gis" and "spatial" to see current course offerings from these schools.

**Training @ CGA**

2 - 3 hour workshops taught in person, free for valid Harvard ID holders, $100 for others.

- Geospatial analysis and visualization
- Geospatial Databases (PostGIS, Heavy.ai)
- Programming for Geospatial (R/Python)
- Cloud/Cluster based GIS tools (Geospatial on AWS, [FASRC](https://www.rc.fas.harvard.edu/), [NERC](https://nerc.mghpcc.org/))
