CGA Logo Prize
Date and Time
The CGA Logo Prize will be awarded to one Harvard student (graduate or undergraduate, who must be enrolled in the academic year and in good standing to be considered for the award). The Prize is an award of $500 USD given to the winning entry, subject to existing tax rules for prizes.
The deadline for submissions is 11:55 p.m. on Monday June 30, 2025.
Submission Requirements:
To be considered for the Logo Prize, submissions must adhere to these guidelines below:
- High resolution file (at least 300 dpi)
- .TIFF, .png, or other image format
- Preferably: a version with/without “Center for Geographic Analysis” and “Harvard University”
- Statement confirming that, if selected, the CGA has permission to use and re-use the logo image.
What are we looking for?
The CGA is nearing its 20th anniversary and is ready for a new CGA 2.0 logo that clearly (and appealingly) conveys our mission and expertise: Geographical analysis and spatial data, but also cities, built and natural environments, and real-world social science applications. Ideas and questions can be directed to Rachel Franklin (rachel_franklin@cga.harvard.edu). She’s happy to discuss early thoughts and possible design directions.
To apply, fill out the form at this award submission link, which requires a Harvard Key login. On the form, please choose “CGA Logo Prize” as the Award Category.
Selection Criteria:
The Logo Prize will be awarded based on the following criteria:
- Alignment with CGA mission and activities
- Clear brand identity
- Design and aesthetics
- Conformity to file format requirements
