The CGA organized and moderated a seminar introducing GIS and featuring presentation by Harvard researchers who use GIS for the SHARP and BLISS summer fellows.

12:15 - Jeff Blossom provided an overview of GIS applications for research and the Center for Geographic Analysis.  View the slides.

12:30 - Professor Michael McCormick presented on current projects at the Science of the Human Past Initiative, and the Digital Atlas of the Roman and Medieval Civilization

12:45 -  Hari Iyer of the Cancer Epidemiology and Cancer Prevention group presented "Applying GIS to Cancer Epidemiology".  View the slides.

1:00 - Xue Wang presented several remote sensing applications to GIS.  View the slides.

1:15 - Emerson Morgan presented using GIS to map Chant and Urban Procession in medieval Rouen, France.
