Bandit Mienmany is a visiting fellow under the Fulbright ASEAN Visiting Scholar Program. He obtained a master's degree in Geographic Information Science at Birkbeck University of London, where he worked on his thesis on detecting land use and land cover change in Laos. His research interests include the use of GIS and remote sensing for mapping land use and land cover change, agriculture, climate resilience, and adaptation, which he will pursue at the CGA. His previous work experiences include working with the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT) and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) on a project for climate forecasting and climate risk management for agriculture in southeast Asia and with sustainable rice-based and climate-resilient farming systems under the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI).
