Hanchen Yu is a research associate and post-doctoral fellow at CGA. He received his Ph.D. in 2019 in Regional Economics from Peking University. He works on methods in spatial statistics, spatial econometrics, spatial data science, and machine learning for the analysis of social processes. His research has targeted the development spatial statistics and how they can be used to capture how relationships change by spatial and temporal contexts. This includes issues of theory, interpretation, as well as applications in transportation, economics, public health, and urban studies.
