Wendy Guan
Wendy Guan was the Executive Director of the Center for Geographic Analysis (CGA) at Harvard University from 2014 until her retirement in February of 2025. Before that she was the Director of Research Services at Harvard CGA. Since 2013 Wendy also managed the Harvard site for the Spatiotemporal Innovation Center in the NSF Industry-University Cooperative Research Centers Program (IUCRC). Prior to 2006, she managed professional services at a GIS consulting firm in Washington; headed the geospatial information technology department for a multinational forestry corporation; and supervised GIS teams in a Florida government agency. Wendy has extensive experience in designing and implementing enterprise GIS systems. She taught GIS in various universities, including the Harvard Extension School. Wendy has numerous publications and is PI or co-PI on several sponsored research projects. She has a PhD from the University of Georgia, MA from Trent University, MSc from Beijing University and BSc from SCNU.
