Zach Sherman is a 2025 graduate from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University where he earned a M.S. in Geography with a focus on Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Zach's thesis focused on research relating to health care access and geospatial analysis using generative AI. Formerly a research intern with the Center for Geographic Analysis (CGA) at the Institute of Quantitative Social Sciences (IQSS), Zach is back with the CGA, and will be performing cartography and analysis in the spring of 2026 related to the CGA's Out of Eden Walk project.
