Spatiotemporal pattern of COVID-19 spread in Brazil

In collaboration with Dr. Marcia Castro of the T.H. Chan Harvard School of Public Health, the CGA analyzed the pattern of spread of COVID-19 cases and deaths in Brazil from February to October 2020.  Weekly geographic centroids locations weighted by municipal COVID-19 case and death counts were created on the national and state level.  Visualizations were created of the centroid progression over time.  Read more in this Science Magazine publication, and view the R code used to produce this analysiscovid-19_animation_01.gif
