Trimble eCognition Developer

eCognition Developer is a powerful development environment for object-based image analysis. It is used in earth sciences to develop rule sets (or applications for eCognition Architect) for the automatic analysis of remote sensing data.

The CGA has one floating license of Trimble eCognition Developer.

To request access to this software send us your request via our contact form.

Installation Guide:

  • Please download the installation file from the link provided by the CGA.
  • Unzip to a local folder, double click on “Setup.exe” to start the installation. Follow all default options.
  • After installation is completed, run eCognition and at the prompt for license server, enter license.cga.harvard.edu.

This software is available to Harvard Affiliates only. Access to the license servers requires a connection to the Harvard LAN or Harvard VPN.
